Cicadas, Babies and Pizza, oh my god!

Cincinnati, Ohio, May 20, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Snappy Tomato Pizza is a popular family pizzeria offering award-winning sauce and specialty pizza, and is home to The BEAST (the giant party pizza). With 45 corporate and franchisees in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Tennessee and New Mexico, Snappy Tomato Pizza is one of the fastest growing restaurant chains in the food service industry. Snappy Tomato Pizza is partnering with the Christ Hospital Health Network to commemorate the arrival of the Brood X cicadas and to celebrate the babies born in May. Babies born on the Christ Hospital Health Network in May will receive a limited edition romper decked out with plenty of cicadas and the phrase “All the Buzz!” Parents will also receive a free Snappy Tomato Pizza and some Snappy Swag.

FUN FACT: Cicadas aren’t the only ones making music every seventeen years. Snappy Tomato Pizza is also relaunching the catchy Sningy Cicada Pizza Jingle. Snappy Tomato Pizza has never made a cicada pizza but it’s fun to sing about.

“We dusted off the old 7 inches at 45 rpm from 34 years ago and had them digitized for today’s game. The song sounds just as funny today as it did the first time I heard it. Now, after listening to it over and over, I have to try to get that rhythm out of my head, ”said Andy Ritter, Marketing Director for Snappy Tomato Pizza. “We are delighted to present the newcomers born at Christ Hospital with a unique cicada onesie so they can remember their arrival at the same time as the cicadas of 2021.”

Once the cicadas officially arrive in the Tristate area, they will start decorating our newborns with these fun cicada onesies. Christ Hospital Birth Centers in Mount Auburn and Liberty Township are handing out 200 colorful cicada onesies and goodie bags that contain vouchers for a free Snappy Tomato Pizza and a frameable welcome card. Christ Hospital Health Network families are encouraged to share photos of their newborn babies decked out in their limited edition cicada onesies.

“One of our goals at Christ Hospital is to make the time of birth of a baby as special as possible. The flagship of this approach to “surprise and delight” is our romper program, where we give away limited rompers every month that are inspired by a holiday or a special world or community event, “said Dr. Leanne Olshavsky, Medical Director, Women’s Health at The Christ Hospital Health Network. “We love partnering with popular Cincinnati franchises for these onesies that we better partner with for our ‘All the Buzz’ celebration than Snappy Tomato Pizza! The adorability factor of these onesies and newborns is sure to give us all something other than cicadas to buzz about! “

Snappy Tomato Pizza and the Christ Hospital Health Network are also running a Facebook contest encouraging dreary residents to share their thoughts on the return of the Brood X Cicadas using GIFS only. The social media competition runs until the end of May. Two winners will be selected at random to win a Snappy Cicada Pizza T-shirt and Snappy Bucks for a free pizza. A Grand Prize winner will be selected to win the Cicada Shirt, a free Snappy Tomato Pizza, and Under the Weather’s revolutionary Bug Screen Pod to keep you safe from the Cicadas. Follow the Christ Hospital Health Network and Snappy Tomato Pizza on Facebook @TheChristHospitalHealthNetwork and @SnappyTomatoPizza and post your cicada GIFs.
