Cincinnati, Dayton I-75 S crash blocks freeway

CINCINNATI – A semi-trailer overturned south on I-75 early Thursday, killing a driver and blocking the highway for most of the day.

Police responded to the incident at 5:30 a.m. near the Norwood exit. A driver was rushed to hospital and pronounced dead, according to Cincinnati police.

It is not known why the harmless cargo overturned. The highway is not expected to reopen until late Thursday as crews work to clear the lane and remove the trailer.

According to police, diversions will be made on the Ronald Regan Highway and the Norwood Lateral.
