Cincinnati Public School Board Discusses Proposed Policy Requiring COVID-19 Immunization For Staff

A committee from the Cincinnati Public Schools Board will discuss a proposal Thursday that would see all employees receive a COVID-19 vaccine. If it is passed, all teachers and school staff should receive the vaccination. The idea was originally launched months ago, but with the advent of the Delta variant, board members have started a new push for it. They understand that not everyone agrees, but the main goal of the board members is to ensure the safety of the students in the classroom. “You have to have living children to learn. They also want their parents and guardians as well their grandparents and their aunts and uncles are alive so they can support them and then you want them to be able to get quality education so I think the vaccine is important for these reasons ” said Mike Moroski, board member of CPS. The meeting is scheduled to take place at 9 a.m.
