Cincinnati Zoo Hippopotamus catches raindrops in its mouth

Fiona the hippopotamus caught raindrops in her mouth at the Cincinnati Zoo in Ohio.

Footage released by the zoo on May 4th shows the hippopotamus with its mouth wide open and its head tilted up to catch the rain.

“Not everyone is blown away by a rainy day,” wrote the zoo in the Facebook post. “Fiona remembers that she has her own huge giant tube and will literally catch the raindrops for hours! She is unique! “Photo credit: Cincinnati Zoo / Sue Meyer via Storyful
