CITI Camp builds trust between police officers and Cincinnati children

Fifty children are participating this weekend as part of a Cincinnati Police Department program dedicated to building relationships between families and officials. CITI Camp – that is “Children in Trauma Intervention” Camp – is an eight-week program for children aged 10-12 years. Officer Eddie Hawkins, who runs it, sees this as an opportunity to put participants on the right track for their future. “Your mindset changes in terms of how you think about your peers and how you see yourself,” he said. “We are working on that.”
