Greater Cincinnati landmarks discovered in the new movie trailer starring the star of the X-Files

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) – The truth is out there, Greater Cincinnatians.

It’s not the X-Files, but the unexplained brings star Gillian Anderson back to the big screen, and it’s set in the Greater Cincinnati Area.

The trailer for the new movie UFO was recently released.

According to IMDB, the film is about a college student who believes that mysterious sightings at airports in the US are UFOs. His beliefs come after a childhood UFO sighting of his own. He then enlists the help of his girlfriend and his advanced math professor, played by Anderson, as they work to uncover the truth without being stopped by the FBI.

Throughout the trailer, eagle-eyed viewers will see many Cincinnati classics such as the Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky Airport, a University of Cincinnati flag, UC campus, and Mt. Healthy Restaurant Brotherton.

The film was shot in November 2016 and the stars of the film visited their social media pages to cover their time in Ohio.

UFO is slated to hit theaters on September 4th.
