The online lottery for assigning students to high schools in the Cincinnati Public Schools opens Tuesday, January 12, 2020.
The lottery awards places for the upper level for the school year 2021/22.
New this year: The High School Lottery has an extended application period for the lottery and runs from January 12 to April 16, 2021. All applications submitted will take part in a computer-based random lottery; each application has an equal chance of entry into first-choice high school regardless of when the application is submitted during the application period.
Grade 6, 7, or 8 CPS students can submit lottery applications from any computer with internet access. Parents or guardians of these CPS students can also enter high school lottery applications, but a student can only enter the lottery once.
